What voice mode is
Voice mode lets you talk to your agent out loud, and it talks back. A real back-and-forth, the way you’d talk to someone sitting next to you.

No buttons, no holding a key
Section titled “No buttons, no holding a key”You don’t press to start and press to stop. You just speak. It listens, works out what you need, and replies out loud. When you talk again, it listens again. It’s a conversation, not a walkie-talkie.
When it’s useful
Section titled “When it’s useful”Voice is good for the times typing gets in the way. Thinking a problem through out loud. Talking while you’re doing something else. Getting an answer without sitting at the keyboard. Some things are just easier said than typed.
It’s off until you turn it on, because it needs a quick one-time setup. The next page covers that.
What you need to know first
Section titled “What you need to know first”- Voice runs through ElevenLabs, a separate service you connect with your own key. There’s a small bit of setup, covered next.
- It’s per-tab — one conversation can be voice while another stays text.
- Your microphone audio and the text of your messages are sent to ElevenLabs to turn speech into text and text into speech. Nothing else changes about how your agent works.
