Hyo on mobile
Hyo runs on your phone as well as your desktop. It’s the same plugin — you install it once, and it behaves differently depending on the device.
On a laptop, Hyo runs Claude Code directly on that machine. A phone can’t run Claude Code, so mobile Hyo works a different way: it’s a thin client that talks back to Claude Code on your Mac over your private Tailscale network. Your Mac does the work; your phone is the window into it.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Hyo installed on your Mac, working normally.
- Your Mac left on and Obsidian open while you want to use your phone. The phone reaches Claude Code through your Mac, so the Mac has to be awake.
- Tailscale — a free, private network app — on both your Mac and your phone. This is what lets your phone reach your Mac securely, without exposing anything to the public internet.
What it’s like
Section titled “What it’s like”Everything you get on desktop is there: your conversations, tabs, voice mode, and the agent, model and permission controls (tucked behind the chip in the message bar to fit a phone screen). Conversations are shared — start something on your Mac, pick it up on your phone.
