Hyo is straight with you about every connection it makes. Here’s the whole picture.

Anthropic (Claude)

Hyo runs Claude Code, which connects to Anthropic using your own Claude login. Your messages, and any vault content you choose to share in a conversation, are sent to Anthropic under your own Claude account — the same as using Claude anywhere else, under Anthropic’s terms. Hyo also reads your usage stats from Anthropic’s API to show the usage meters.

OpenAI or ElevenLabs (only if you use voice)

Voice mode is off by default, and which service it uses depends on the engine you pick.

• GPT-Live sends your microphone audio to OpenAI for the length of the call, along with the conversation so far, the date and time, and what’s on screen, so the voice knows what you’re talking about. Replies come back as audio. When the voice hands work to your agent, that goes to Anthropic as normal. On your phone, dictation also goes to OpenAI for transcribing. All of it uses the OpenAI key you provide.
• ElevenLabs sends your microphone audio to ElevenLabs to turn speech into text, and the text of replies to turn into speech, using the ElevenLabs key you provide.

If you never use voice, nothing goes to either.

Nothing else

• No telemetry. Hyo collects no analytics and sends no data anywhere else. Nothing leaves your machine unless you’re actively using the plugin.
• Your credentials stay local. Your OpenAI and ElevenLabs keys and your cached Claude login are stored locally in the plugin’s own data and are never sent anywhere except to the services above. On a GPT-Live call from your phone, your Mac sets the call up, so the OpenAI key never needs to leave the Mac for calls.

That’s the full list. There’s no hidden connection, no tracking, and no third service quietly in the loop.
